Participants Needed

The Participant Resource Pool was created by the Healthier Black Elders Center (HBEC) to assist in the effective resolution of problems associated with the health of minorities. Through the Participant Resource Pool, investigators have access to people who are ready and willing to participate in research.

At the present time, the HBEC is trying to recruit 1,000 African American men and women aged 55 and older who are willing to participate in noninvasive research.

The HBEC Participant Resource Pool has an Oversight Committee which consist of the HBEC Committee Advisory Board member. This board manages access to the pool and use of the database. The committee is compromised of ten individuals whom are from the community. These individuals will ensure that the safety and protection of the participants and the quality and integrity of the research is maintained.
